Thank you so much for your continued love and support of Sergi Farms over the years.
Many of you have been with us since Nick started the business back in 2013 — and we can’t tell you how grateful we are that you’ve chosen Sergi Farms for your grass-fed beef needs.
We’re reaching out today to let you know that the land for Sergi Farms has been sold.
What does this mean for you, our loyal customers?
At this point, nothing. We have plenty of beef in stock and will be “turning on” beef sales again soon — we’re aiming for this June or July.
Also, we’re in the process of looking for new avenues to work with other local farmers to continue raising Sergi Farms cattle.
We ask for your patience as we work out the best way to make this happen — and we promise to keep you posted.
As you probably already know, Sergi Farms was our brother Nick’s passion. So when he passed away tragically in 2018, we wanted to continue Sergi Farms to honor Nick’s legacy.
But the reality is that Nick was the farmer in the family and we’re businessmen who own and operate many businesses. We quickly realized we needed the expertise of local cattle farmers to continue to operate Sergi Farms with the same values and processes that Nick did. And we feel we did just that — and probably exceeded what Nick could’ve ever imagined.
While we brothers ran the farm remotely, we truly relied on the help of many people — friends and family and a few special folks that we’d like to take a moment to recognize.
Dwayne Deakins has been an instrumental part of Sergi Farms since day one. He was Nick’s mentor and friend who taught Nick the cattle business. We’ll always be grateful for Dwayne’s contributions to Sergi Farms.
Bryant Meinel and Jake Myers, Sergi’s key farmhands, have been instrumental in our day-to-day operations — both while Nick was running the farm and since his passing. These two helped ensure that Sergi Farms ran smoothly; we couldn’t have done it without them.
Both have full-time jobs and still give countless hours of their personal time to continue Nick and the Sergi family’s commitment to keep operations running.
Even though the farmland has been sold, we will do everything we can to continue Nick’s dream of running a sustainable cattle farm.
And of course, we’ll continue to honor Nick’s legacy through the Nicholas D. Sergi Foundation, a nonprofit focused on enriching lives through the transformative power of giving.
Now that we’re free from the day-to-day operations of the farm, we’re looking forward to focusing on the Foundation's good work and continuing to honor Nick’s legacy.
We hope you’ll join us as we look forward to what the future holds for Sergi Farms. We’ll keep you posted with updates later this spring.
With gratitude,
The Sergi Family
